That's right baby!

May 2.
Just enough time to walk over to the amazing New York Public Library. In Bryant Park behind there are small trolleys of books (a mini library) so you can read outside. The mini outside library even has a kids section. The park has WiFi access sponsored by Google. Why are we leaving?

On the way to the airport another taxi driver yells "is that an 06" to our driver. "That's right baby!" she happily yells back. Seems her company awarded her with an 2006 model car as a reward for two years without an accident.

The Air Canada agent asks us if we would like to go on an earlier flight since there's room. Guess what we answer.

Toledo Surprise?

May 1.
Of course, the big event of today is the opening of the Drowsy Chaperone. But we did other stuff too. Like old NY-hands we took the subway all over town. C. even helped out one guy who was having trouble buying tickets at the machine. We checked out the American Museum of Natural History and women's shoes at Century 21.

There's no doubt it - its a fun show. And I don't much like musicals!

I enjoyed being aggressive grabbing a taxi before another guy in front of the theatre.

The party afterwards was a fancy affair. In a reference to a song in the show a sign at one bar offered a "Toledo Surprise". But then they removed the surprise by say "(Cosmopolitan)" below.

To New York

Apr 30.
New York. From the hotel made a b-line for FAO Schwartz where we gawked at toys the rich kids play with. They had a woman dressed as a nurse beside a hospital nursery of baby dolls - quite the schitk - you could adopt one of these babies for $80. Central park was hopping. We walked down Broadway to see the theatre for our pal's show.
